Goji Force Green Tea

Whole leaf green tea with goji berries and lingonberries

This premium green tea is packed with Goji berries, one of the top superfoods of our time. Very rare and hard to find, these "happy berries" have a reputation throughout Asia for their contribution to well-being. With their sweet/tart taste (like a cross between a raisin, cranberry and a cherry), we have paired the Goji with the subarctic climate Lingonberry, a real survivor. That means a big boost of "go, go, go!".

This blend is our #1

Green Tea

New research presented at the Fourth International Scientific Symposium on Tea & Human Health in Washington, DC in September, 2007, suggests that drinking tea may lower an individual’s risk of developing dementia and other neurodegenerative disorders such as Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s diseases. The latest findings on other potential health benefits of tea, including how it may play a role in shifting metabolism to favour weight loss and better manage blood sugar levels, were also unveiled at the Symposium. As well, other new studies which add to the existing body of knowledge about tea’s potential ability to reduce risk for several chronic diseases were presented. These included research that shows tea flavonoids may improve cardiovascular health by reducing inflammation and improving blood vessel function.

Goji Berries

Goji berries are nutritionally rich, containing beta-carotene, Vitamins C, B1, B2 and other vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and amino acids. Fully Loaded Tea blends contain whole pieces of dry goji berries, not powder like other tea companies

Goji Berries contain complex phyto-nutrients and bio flavinoids:

  • Betaine, which is used by the liver to produce choline, a compound that calms nervousness, enhances memory, promotes muscle growth, and protects against fatty liver disease.
  • Physalin, which is active against all major types of leukemia. It has also been used as a treatment for hepatitis B.
  • Solavetivone, a powerful anti-fungal and anti-bacterial compound.
  • Beta-Sitoserol, an anti-inflammatory agent. It has been used to treat sexual impotence and prostate enlargement. It also has a cholesterol lowering effect.
  • Cyperone, a sesquiterpene that benefits the heart and helps maintain normal blood pressure. It has also been used in the treatment of cervical cancer.

The Goji Berry is being called the world's most powerful anti-aging food. Goji is rated #1 on the ORAC scale (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity), which measures the antioxidant level in foods. It is a test developed by USDA researchers out of Tufts University in Boston.

Lingonberries

Lingonberries contain plentiful organic acids, vitamin C, provitamin A (as beta carotene), B vitamins (B1, B2, B3), and the elements potassium, calcium, magnesium, and phosphorus. In addition to these healthful nutrients, cowberries also contain phytochemicals that are thought to counteract urinary-tract infections, and the seeds are rich in Omega-3 fatty acids.
